Imo Man Kills his Girlfriend for Rejecting his marriage Proposal After Funding Her Education

Onyinyechi Okegbulam of Egbu Local Government Area in, Owerri, in Imo State and a student of Federal Polytechnic Nekede. was shot dead last Saturday.

This incident happened after her boyfriend proposed to her and she refused to marry him.





An anonymous eye witness told Vanguard that the deceased was lured out of her family home by her boyfriend at around 7pm last Saturday. As soon as the boy saw the girl approaching him, he fired a shot at her.

A resident of the area said, the boy paid for Onyinyechi's entire education and every of her bill but she later abandoned him and opted to marry another man.

Until her death, Onyinyechi was a final year student of Public Relations, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State.

The Police Department is looking into the matter
