Leg Selfie Protest; She was Banned from Taking Exam Because her Dress was Short
On the 9th of may, the Faculty of Law, University of Algiers prevented a female student from taking exam because her dress was short and was showing her legs.
The dean of the university supported the ban. He said "the student violated the school code. Wearing a short dress is not authorized in the university".
Film producer, Sophia Djama started a facebook page -my dignity isn't the length of my dress - to protest against this ban.
She told france24 that she will use the page as a medium to document what women have to go through everyday.
She called on internet community to upload picture showing off their legs on the album she called "Angry Legs".
