Life as A CRO: Diaries
I work as a Clients Relations Officer in a reputable firm and you can't believe it, that people management of the most difficult of all.
Client relations may sound too casual or simple but I bet you ain't seen nothing yet.
It has been 5 long years of dealing with different kinds of people, five long years of developing relationships, five long years of correcting people and five long years of learning people's differences.
It has not been easy but I'm getting there.
My typical day starts with a prayer; " Lord please help me deal with everyone I meet today as i would expect another person deal with me"
I meet almost the same set of characters three times every week. They come around and I have to repeat myself in giving instruction. even kids don't drag me to that point.
Sometimes they feel bad about what I say,but its okay If the only way to make it work is to talk them like a children because they act like one.
Sometimes I allow them do what they want, at least it helps them understand when they are wrong or right..
The bottom line is getting solutions, results and beating deadlines.
I try most times to talk through with them about their challenges and find a way to assist in solving them.
My one word is empathy.
Sometimes, I don't obey all they rules but I always find a way to make it work.
I have survived these five years and I want to share with you, how I pulled through managing people
