Relationship by Design: A Very inspirational Story, A must Read

In relationships, we want the other person to be like we dream and the happily ever after marriage endings.

Forget today's marriage separation trend, marriage is for life and you must not make mistakes. 
You are marrying that person who you can tolerate and love for eternity but this not the whole story;

I remember my friend Chy, who is very humble and of good character  but fell in love with a naughty and wayward guy who had no regard women.

All he ever wanted was intimacy and sexual acts.

Chy always resisted him and wished he understood her from the biblical point of view. 
She always invited to church to distract him from his usual life.
He would cheat on her break up with her and go back to her whenever he wanted to because he knew she loved him deeply. 

Each time he offended her, she just forgives. 
Throughout their relationship, he never bought a thing for her and he had a good job. Instead he always shows her latest purchase

My friend Chy, had a small business then and she would save money to take care of him and buy him gift. 

She fasted and prayed for him every time she knelt down. 
She took the burden of taking care of his sick old father.

And He took everything for granted.

Some time later, my friend found the courage, she stopped complaining and walked away.

We got talking one day and she just  unburdened everything she went through.
I told her not to worry, something is going to change about him. That her prayers were not in vain.

When I said that, I hoped that God saw my friend's tears and changed the guy and maybe they get married someday.

Four months later, I met with Chy at hang out and she told me how she has moved on. She also said that her ex is married.

She had scheduled to meet with him that same day so she called him and asked him to join her the hang out place we were at. I left them as soon as her ex came.

My friend called me the next day and told me about their meeting. She said he didn't say much but just handed her a note to her which says;

 " Nne, I want to thank you for making me the man that I am today. I am closer to God, I understand what it means to care for people, I do not judge peoples by their mistakes. you taught me all that".

" Now that I'm married to someone else, I appreciate all you did for me and wished I could take take back the hands of time". 
May be If we got married, I would have not appreciated you this much. I would have still been taking you for granted.

I now see what makes God different from man; his ways, his thought, his designs.

I tried to place my wife's loving efforts at the same standard with yours and I realised that I am even worse.

Everyday I kneel and pray for you. I thank God for creating a person like you and I will never regret knowing you.
