Top 14 FIFA LEADERS, ARRESTED

Early Wednesday morning, the Swiss authority unexpectedly raided the FIFA headquarters in Zurich. Also the US Justice department is pressing charges ranging from money laundering, corruption, bribery, racketeering.


So far, the US authorities has issued warrant for 14 FIFA officials. 

Few hours earlier, the Swiss authorities said they opened separate criminal investigation into FIFA's operation, pertaining the 2018 and 2022 world cup bids which went to Russia and Qatar respectively.

Current FIFA president Sebb Blatter is not among the people that were arrested but he was investigated.


FIFA's Spokesman Walter De Gregori told reporters that no one at FIFA knew the Swiss authorities will raid the headquarters. 
He also said that Friday elections will hold, as well as the games in Qatar and Russia.
