Wedding Food: The Wedding Appetizers

Food at weddings are becoming  a lot more interesting.
I recently attended a wedding and the menu was overwhelming. From the appetizer to dessert, I had a lot of options to choose.
The most significant thing about the menu is that every single part of it appears very interesting and quite simple.

The menu contained all the regular food we see at weddings but it's presentation was a lot different.

At the end of the day, I enjoyed the thoughts of how wedding food presentation is evolving.

It is no longer the regular rice, instead, I see little or no rice at all (that is rare).

I will not deny it. I enjoyed the appetizer I had at that wedding.

Therefore today, I have collected the most common and interesting wedding appetizer we should serve and see at wedding these days and the best time to serve them.

Lets start with;

The best time to serve appetizers at Weddings

The wedding celebration routine these days usually start at midday.

I will skip the wedding blessing at church and head straight to the wedding reception.

A scenario, wedding reception starts at 2pm and every guest is expected to be seated at 2:30pm.

At this time, the celebrants are being expected to enter gracefully.

In the midst of these expectations, guests are expected to be enjoying their appetizers or the memory of how sumptuous the appetizer tasted.

This is indeed the best time  to have finished serving appetizers. it is also at this time, guests, who are seated at round tables bond with each other is need be.

The reason is that at the time the celebrants enter, they become the point of attraction. Guests who left home early are not worried at all about food or distracted by who is sharing the food.

They are only worried about how to adjust and get the best photo shot or best view of the celebrants.

Also, it will hasten up food matters that usually distract at wedding. That main dish, and cake will come, on time while the dessert blends into the end of the celebration so it hastens the pace of the celebration and get everything done at the right time

What I am saying is that wedding appetizers are best served at the point where the guest settles on a seat.

The best appetizers to serve at weddings:

Chicken Wings:

My mum usually spice the chicken wings the previous night soaked in a mixture of water, curry, pepper, thyme, chili sauce, mixed spice and other seasonings.
The wings is allowed to stay over night so as to allow the chicken absorb the seasoning well.
it is deep-fried the following morning. into a golden brown and dried and well cooked chicken wings.

Some people would prefer to grill or roast, but for weddings, that is a time waster.
I have seen this procedure done a lot of times so I know how to go about it
