She Ran the London Marathon While on Her Period, Without Wearing Tampon, to Raise Awareness; Blood dripped down her legs
26 year Old Kiran Gandhi had prepared to participate in the London marathon but her mensuration started on the eve of the d-day.
She decided to take that opportunity and run for a cause
She said "I ran with blood dripping down my legs for my sisters who don't have access to tampons and sisters who, despite cramping and pain, hide it away and pretend like it does not exist".
"I ran to say it does exist and we overcome it everyday".
She said the whole experience was incredibly empowering.
Was it really worth it?
