Why Adele's Hello Did not Make it To the 2016 Grammy Nomination

Now that the 2016 grammys nomination list has been released, fans has been looking out for Adele's Hello, the most recent favorite.


This years nomination list saw Taylor Swift on the three major award listings for Album of the Year, Song of The Year and Record of the Year.

Kendrick Lamar packed 11 nominations while a total of 7 nominations each came in for The Weekend and Taylor Swift.

Where is Adele's "Hello" ?




The yearly Grammy nomination covers from Oct of the previous year to September of the following year, which is about October 2014 to September 2015 for this year.

"Hello" was released on 23rd October, which means that it did not make it in the nomination period window.

Since it's release, "Hello" is the first song to sell 1.11 million downloads in a week.

According to Nielsen Music, it is the first song ever to sell at least 1 million downloads in a week.

Now we are looking forward to Adele's listing in the next grammys.
