Organically Speaking: My Organic Side of Life

I am an organic lover, maybe because I'm a recycling chic but there is something about living a natural lifestyle in all of these things.

As a growing girl, paying attention to skincare and hair care has never really been my thing because I had one product only that took care of every thing - Petroleum Jelly, Cocoa butter, Shea Butter or Palm Kernel Oil

As a Lady, I get a lot of side talks from friends, complaining about how I just use anything for my skin. They mentioned options for lotions, creams "chemical based" that would lighten my skin. Then the chemical relaxer, that would straighten and give me silkier hair.

I fell for it like every other person would because I wanted to be in charge of my beauty routine, but I took It one step at a time.
Then I started to notice round-like rashes at different spots on my skin, so I stopped.

Frankly speaking, I have one of the smoothest and acne- less skin among my friends, not because I chose to go with the chemical based product trend, but because I already had a long practiced routine "unconsciously' with natural and organic products.

Do you agree?

What I did Differently

Thank God for You tube, I learnt about whipped cream and DIY oils Thank God for google, I found enaissance.com.

To get that lotion-like thing for my skin, I whipped Shea Butter and a lot of Coconut oil.
This gave me a darker skin tone. I added a bit of carrot oil to it. but it maintained the skin tone I have already got.

About my Organic Bathing Soap

I went on You Tube, learnt basic soap making. As an Industrial Chemistry graduate, it was quite easy for my to get my knowledge back on track.

I had tried making two basic soaps. All natural ingredients

This healed my skin color and together with cream, it toned it up. But I noticed, it was drying out my skin and the Neem oil used in making it, always left a bitter taste of my skin.
I have got people who are still using it because of its toning and acne control benefits.

That led me to

This is my best seller soap anytime. I sell it everyday.

It was not just a one-time good soap. I had a lot of trials and errors, used different oils for the soap, and also worked with the feedback I got friends, clients and my review. This helped me formulate this soap for all skin type though most of my clients use it basically as a facial soap.

Now that I have the kind of skin I wanted.

What About my Organic Hair Care.

Two and half years ago I went Natural. I Had my hair low for a while

And Later I started to grow my hair

And now my hair is long enough that I can make a pony

And twist out.

Wow! those full edges and smoothness you get from a natural type 4C hair.

These are all the stuff that got me going.
  • Coconut Oil - Tell me if you want it, i make mine by myself
  • African Shea Butter - From Ekiti State, in Nigeria
  • Avocado Oil - I make it myself but strictly on request. You can buy bulk at enaissance.com
  • Castor Oil - I buy at enaissance.com
  • Hempseed Oil - I buy at enaissance.com
  • Olive oil,
  • Hemp seed powder

As for how i achieved a pony hair with smooth edges, lets save the story for another day.

Today's post was mainly about my organic lifestyle, favorite supplier and products that helped me.

Love you!
